The Louvre Hotel will open its doors to the public by the end of December in Matanzas

The “Louvre Hotel”, National Monument located in the Historic Center of the city, will open its doors to the public by the end of November. It has a privileged location by the Liberty Park in the heart of Matanzas city recently declared touristic destination on behalf of the 325th city’s foundation anniversary.

The hotel rooms possess a high standard concerning decoration, furniture and comfort. Nowadays, the “Louvre Hotel” keeps its doors open to the public, but only to offer cafeteria and bar service; a new option activated since last Friday for those who go along the city that is also called “La Atenas de Cuba”.

The hotel was built in 1879 and it was included into the works of refurbishing on behalf of the 325th city’s foundation anniversary celebrated on October 12th. It is expected to finish the second stage of the “Louvre” rebuilding and enlarging by the second term of 2019. It will include 42 rooms for a total of 59 with “Velasco Hotel”.
