The oldest hotel in Cuba celebrated its 143 years old

The Inglaterra Hotel, the oldest hotel in Cuba, celebrated 143 years of its opening on December 23rd with a new brightness and attraction to those who come to this country seeking historical and cultural interest. It is one of the best hotels in Havana which is near to celebrate its 500th anniversary of foundation. According to official information, the hotel is expected to be included in the Marriott International Group as Hotel Luxury Collection Inglaterra on December 31st, 2019. Then it will be the second hotel managed by an American company in Cuba since 1959.

The hotel has three floors and 83 rooms, each floor has a distinctive decoration. The first one, which is the oldest floor, is decorated with artworks in sepia. The second floor, added in 1886, shows pictures in honor to Cuban painter celebrities. The last floor exhibits colored pictures of the hotel and its surroundings.

The hotel has excellent restaurants and bars such as El Colonial restaurant, La Sevillana bar, La Acera del Louvre café and the Grill at the top floor where mainly Cuban food, fishes and seafood are served. European tourists are the main customers in this hotel, customers from Germany, Ingland, Holland and Belgium. The hotel is considered as cultural World Heritage and National Monument.
