Natural Attractions in Jardines del Rey, Ciego de Ávila

Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo are located in Ciego de Avila's Northern Keys. Both retain an incredible aesthetic and recreational value.

The flora is an attractive present throughout the area, for the good state of conservation and high endemism. As far as the fauna, more than 200 species of birds are inventoried, also mollusks and reptiles abound. There are a number of important charismatic species: the dolphin, chelonians such as the loggerhead, hawksbill, lobster and crab, while flamenco has established one of the largest colonies in the country south of Cayo Coco.
