The hotel La Popa, the second 5-star facility of the village Trinidad, opened its doors for the first time. The hotel is perched on a hill near to this Cuba’s patrimonial tourist destination.
Reinier Rendón, delegate to the Ministry of Tourism in Sancti Spíritus province, asserted that the installation has 52 guest rooms and a beauty that distinguishes it from other facilities in the territory.

He also informed the opening of Buena Vista estate located, as well, in the patrimonial Sugar Mills Valley, which along with the current restored Guachinango estate, allow knowing the times of opulence in the sugar production in this side of the island during the Spanish colonial period.

According to the delegate of the sector, they are on the move to finish at about one thousand guest rooms for next year, that includes finishing the installations of Meliá Trinidad hotel, with 400 capacities and the Iberostar Ancón, with 500 rooms, placed on the Ancón Peninsula.

Furthermore, he announced that by 2030 it is expected to have about 22,600 accommodation capacities, among them an ecological hotel with about one hundred wooden rooms, favorable to the environment.

Reinier Rendón said that Trinidad combines in its tourist offer nature products, the small beaches originating in the south, and the exuberance of the mountains in this central area of the Greater Antilles.
