Cuba keeps the international airports of the provinces open to receive tourist flights, except in Havana, and all of them are certified and have the security protocols against COVID-19.
In October and November, flights will arrive by the Canadian airlines Vacances AirCanada and OWG, with operations from Montreal and Toronto with Jardines del Rey, Cayo Santa María (via Santa Clara) and Holguín. Also this Tuesday, the Mexican VivasAerobus restarted operations, arriving to Camagüey from Cancún and in the next few days Aeromar will join the Varadero, Santa Clara and Cayo Largo destinations.
The important tour operator TUI (Touristik Union International) will restart its operations in Cuba as of October 25, with two weekly flights to the Varadero tourist destination from the United Kingdom, while the Russian charter company Azur Air will start in November with flights to Cayo Coco and Santa Clara.
Cuba continues to be a safe country and both in airports and in lodging facilities medical service is guaranteed, PCR tests are performed and the premises have the conditions to ensure physical distance, hand disinfection and the means to inform and guide the visitor on the behavior to follow.
Since May 1, Cuba has required all travelers, foreigners and Cubans living abroad, to have a travel insurance policy with medical expenses coverage, in order to enter the country.
The resolution, published in the Official Gazette, states that the insurance policies must be issued by insurance companies recognized in the Island, and announces the sale of policies of Cuban insurance companies at the points of entry to the national territory.
