Nowadays Jardines del Rey is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Cuba to people from Canada, UK and Argentina. It is located on the northern-center of the Cuban island which promotion take part of the 39th International Tourism Fair FITCUBA 2019 from May 7th to 11th in Havana city. Jardines del Rey is a registered brand that encompasses several keys with tourist asset in Sabana-Camagüey archipelago. Its name was given by the Spaniard conqueror Diego Velazquéz in honor to King Fernando the Catholic around 1513 and 1514.

More than 200 bird species inhabit in this area where the pink flamingo is the symbolic bird. There are also 350 species of plants, 28 of them native. Beaches are main attraction with 38 kilometers a length. They are narrow of crystalline waters and shallow.

There are 13 hotels with one thousand 147 rooms in Jardines del Rey, run by Cubanacan, Gran Caribe and Islazul chains. The 90 percent of rooms that represent one thousand 800 rooms in 10 hotels are run by six international hotel chains such as Sol Meliá, NH, Iberostar, Blau, Globalia and Hotetur; and among them there are three joint venture (one thousand 500 rooms).
