The Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) delegate in the province of Matanzas, Ivis Fernández, assure the resort of Varadero is prepared to achieve high satisfaction levels in the tourist this coming high season.
Fernández remarked, during a press roll, that this sun and beach destination, the most important in the national territory, is ready for resuming operations with the foreign market, with all the necessary biosecurity measures from October 15.

Cubanacan, Gaviota, Gran Caribe and Islazul hotel groups worked breathlessly on the technology systems, maintenance and other works in the tourist facilities during the low season, she added.
The delegate underlined that lots of actions were carried out on the destination in order to improve its image since it will offer new products in the winter season among them the Varadero boulevard placed on 62 and 64 street offering a large bunch of gastronomical and commercial products.

Palmares extra hotel company has deployed new offers, keeping services to national tourists with great acceptance since the summer season, Fernández pointed out.
“Varadero features by its diversity in recreational activities to satisfy the clients with a large portfolio available with the same requirements regarding the biosecurity protocols”, she highlighted.

Fernández underlined that Cuba is beautiful, “the country has many beauties not only this sun and beach destination but also its nature, the patrimony, its culture, sport, adventure and the tourism has well-conceived the protocols for the enjoyment and satisfactions.
She assured that the strengthen of a safe destination as Varadero is because of the measures assumed by the MINTUR, supported by the Public Heath fortfolio which have been implemented with discipline and in advance to prevent the Covid-19 infection and spreading.

In that sense, he added that both the Juan Gualberto Gómez International Airport and the ground transportation system have all the sanitary protocols guaranteed and implemented.
Varadero, located on the Hicacos Peninsula on the north coast of Matanzas territory and 140 kilometers east of Havana, is considered the second best beach in the world, according to surveys by international entities.
