Marina Hemingway, Cuba, Reopens its Gates to Foreign Watercrafts

Cuba’s Marina Hemingway announced this Monday 23, the reopening for leisure-foreign watercrafts following strict hygiene measures in order to avoid Covid-19 spreading.

Marina Hemingway has posted on its official facebook account that in accordance with the stablished protocol, after the arrival of a watercraft, the adequate staff will perform a questioning to the ship’s captain and crew members regarding their health being, having their temperature taken and the performing of a PCR test.

If any traveler shows respiratory symptoms will be hospitalized, while the boat and the rest of crew members will remain in quarantine until tests results will be submitted.

The head of the Nautical Club advised that despite all passengers are healthy, they will have to remain on board until tests PCR results are available and, in addition, they will have to inform where they are going to stay because it is needed they are under epidemiological surveillance for about 10 days.

With the application of these new measures, Marina Hemingway, located at 18 kilometers from Havana downtown, joins other nautical facilities on the archipelago willing to receive leisure watercrafts, among them Marina Gaviota Varadero.
