Trinidad de Cuba or La Santisima Trinidad has a different microclimate to the rest of the island with temperatures ranging between 16° and 25°C with moderate subtropical weather. Founded in June 1514 by Diego Velázquez, the fourth of the first seven villas founded on the island, it preserves the historic urban center with a genuine colonial atmosphere in one of the most beautiful architectural complexes in the country, declared National Monument in 1978.
