With the arrival of several groups of Russian tourists to the Jardines del Rey destination, in Ciego de Ávila province, the flow of that market to Cuba was restarted after eight months of international flights interrupted by Covid-19.

The epidemiological prevention measures and bio-safety protocols, according to the international sanitary control procedure, are met with all the requirements.

Pegas Touristik, Coral Travel and Anex Tours, three of the main Russian tour operators for Cuba, take over their tour operations with the Nordwind, Royal Flight and Aigle Azur airlines, respectively, to Jardines del Rey.

Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo, located north of the province of Ciego de Ávila, have a hotel and non-hotel infrastructure of high international standard, which satisfies the demands of any visitor and offers walks, excursions, sports and sea baths in their warm crystal waters.

In 2019, Russia ranked fourth among the highest volumes of visitors to Cuba; being Cayo Coco one of the most visited destinations by Russian tourists.

Jardines del Rey, one of the most important sun and beach destinations in Cuba, opened its doors to international tourism early September and has so far received Russian and Canadian travelers. (ACN)
