Barceló hotel chain reaffirms Cuba as a safe destination for tourism

The Barceló Hotels & Resorts chain in Varadero is committed to Cuba as a safe destination, and is ready to receive clients in that resort at its Occidental Arenas Blancas, Barceló Solymar and Allegro Palma Real hotels, with redesign of services in accordance with bio-security measures.

Juan Marquez, manager of the Varadero Beach Barceló Complex, told the press that he is confident that the pandemic will last as short as possible, that the work of the world's scientists will develop quickly, and that the normality that everyone expects will arrive soon so that new markets open up to the world.

Cuba has managed to handle the issue of the pandemic very well, he said and expressed his optimism for 2021, with visitors who have already confirmed their presence in the Caribbean island in the current winter season of the smokeless industry.

These facilities belonging to the Cuban chain Gran Caribe have a total of 1,356 rooms distributed among the three hotels, its main source markets are Canada, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany and Spain, but since last July, the Occidental Arenas Blancas restarted operations and has not stopped.

Filiberto Torres, Deputy Director General, said that they are in a well-sought-after area, both for the domestic market and for international tourism, and in summer they received numerous visitors from neighboring territories and face the so-called high season by observing the necessary hygienic-sanitary measures in order to avoid contagion of COVID-19.
