The tourist destination Jardines del Rey, made up by the Coco and Guillermo keys, shows a growing revival of its hotel plant due to the increase in the arrival of vacationers and the beginning of the so-called tourism high season.

After several months of paralysis due to the spread of COVID-19, the Memories Caribe, Memories Flamenco, Gran Muthu and Playa Paraíso hotels, all of the Gaviota hotel chain, are already providing service, as well as the Pullman Cayo Coco, Melia Cayo Coco and Iberoestar Daiquirí, of the Gran Caribe chain.

Iyolexis Correa, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in the Ciego de Avila province, told the press that the Tryp Cayo Coco hotel was also incorporated into the commercialization from the arrival of more than 400 tourists from Russia, while the rest of the 22 hotel facilities are ready to open, depending on demand.

The reception of vacationers takes place under the implementation of strict sanitary measures to guarantee their safety and that of the workers, and the certification of all facilities with the most hygienic and safe tourism condition.

Correa highlighted the favorable opinion of the visitors about the security protocols against the COVID-19 disease, which has led several of them to extend their stay or repeat the experience.

She explained that clients also have extra-hotel options such as nautical excursions, catamaran tours, bird watching, trekking and visits to Pilar Beach and Loma del Puerto (Port Hillock), the latter area of great natural value, as well as car rental, only within the destination.

With more than 9,000 rooms in 22 hotels, Jardines del Rey continues the execution of its investment process, which is currently focused on the development of Cayo Paredón, where three facilities are underway, scheduled for exploitation as of next year. (Magaly Zamora Morejón, ACN)
