Taking into consideration the systematic COVID-19 evaluation and the effects this pandemic may cause on passengers arriving in the airports located in the tourist destinations: Varadero and Cayo Coco, it was established that resident and non-resident travelers in Cuba must take a 6-night and 7-day period of isolation, in a tourist facility; in the provinces these airports are located. The price of this isolation package is charged to the traveler in Freely Convertible Currency (MLC by its Spanish acronym).
It is understandable by the isolation package: the booking of one of these hotels in the tourist destinations aforementioned to perform the isolation period. The transportation from the airport to the hotel is included in the booking of this package.
In order to guarantee the quality of service provided at the airports and avoid thwarting the correct passengers’ arrival affluence in the country, the airlines that operate with destination to Juan Guarberto Gómez airport in Varadero and Jardines del Rey in Cayo Coco, will require all travelers the submission of the documents that prove the purchasing of the isolation or tourist package before boarding the airplane.The requirement to present a negative PCR test, 72 hours in advance to the day of the trip is maintained.
The isolation packages can be booked through the travel agencies that are located in your own country or through the tour operators that commercialize tourism in Cuba.
The current measures are held to changes according to the present situation and new measures that would be necessary to be implemented.
In the particular case of travelers that reserve tourist packages, the already established protocols are kept.
