The Haitian element stands out, bearing strong manifestations such as the esoteric practices, celebrations and culinary traditions that until today are conserved in several important settlements. The cults of the Afro-Cuban religions generate systematic celebrations in celebration of the deities, and the Voodoo, Regla de Ocha and Palo Monte religions intertwine in amazing internal syncretism to generate new liturgical and festive customs.
The local traditions are developed throughout the province and give rise to phenomena as entrenched as the famous Red and Blue Band of Majagua, deserving of the awards Memoria Viva and Community Culture. Other traditions settled in the territory with very singular expressions like the Parrandas de Chambas and Punta Alegre, with a waste of popular art where the town is the main protagonist. The Nautical Festival of Punta Alegre, as well as the Aquatic Carnival of Morón and the fiestas of Ana María del Mar, in Júcaro, are festivities of deep rooting in these communities.
Various manifestations reach the public through the cultural proposals that are organized every month. Elements of dance, music, literature, fine arts and cinema stand out. You can participate in activities that prepare cultural institutions throughout the province of Ciego de Ávila, in museums, libraries, community activities, cuban music and culture houses, art galleries and night cultural centers.
