The coordinates of his body, bathed by the Atlantic, lead to Gibara, the white village of crabs. Mythical for its riverside, colonial and very cozy atmosphere annually celebrates the Gibara International Film Festival. Founded by Cuban filmmaker Humberto Solás, this event defends the alternative cinema, made with minimal resources, and aesthetic avant-garde.
A great gift for regional cinematography in various debates, conferences and exhibitions of works in close conjunction with the colonial values of the town, among them, the Museum of Cuban Colonial Ambiance and the Fernando VII Battery, bastion of the system built against privateers and pirates.
