Music of Holguin, Cuba

Land of son and organ. From its fecund belly was born the musical vocation defended by El Guayabero, king of the picaresque, and the piano dexterity of the maestro Frank Fernández born in Mayarí, last stop on the Chan Chan Route that hosts the Son  Musical Groups National Encounter , contest that revives the son tradition as a Cuban genre transmitted from generation to generation.

Holguín's select music is the Orquesta Hermanos Avilés, the centenary of Cuba, together with the Orjo de los Hermanos Ajo, organists of the eastern organ.
