Travel to Rancho Curujey where you will be surprised with a welcoming refreshing cocktail and a short explanation about the zone’s nature wonder project. Visit the Buenavista coffee plantation, a XIX century farm. Tour of Las Terrazas community, contact with the residents in the Callejón de la Moka and workshops of local artists, having the opportunity to taste a Cuban coffee. LAS DELICIAS HIKE

A 3-kilometer trek through Las Delicias hill all your way up to the San Juan valley lookout, at 330 meters above sea level, and enjoy a picnic. Admire the beautiful landscape and biodiversity in a 1500-metre descent until reaching the ruins of Buenavista coffee plantation, a remnant of the 19th century French presence in Western Cuba.

Designed for all visitors interested in knowing the birdlife of the Las Terrazas forests, inserted in the heart of the Sierra del Rosario. Proceed on a bird watching expedition comprising the observation of many bird species, including many Cuban endemic and migratory, such as: Tocororo or Cuban Trogon, national bird. Its white, red and blue colors match those of the Republic’s proud flag; five species of woodpecker; the Carta Cuba or Cuban Tody , because of its small size, is almost imperceptible, as well as the mockingbird that will delight you with its beautiful sound during the whole tour.
LA SERAFINA TRAIL

Walk through trails in the middle of evergreen forests for more than 6000 meters, enjoying a wide biodiversity of vegetation, flora and fauna. Climbing to an excellent viewpoint from where you can see the picturesque community of Las Terrazas. A rich biodiversity will surprise you at every step of this tour which will also lead you to the ruins of Santa Serafina coffee plantation at the Sierra del Rosario. After the visit, you descend through the San Juan River valley until the Rancho Curujey.
El Contento Hike

9 km route that meanders the elevation known as “El Taburete” by its North, East and South flanks. On the way you visit the ruins of San Idelfonso and El Contento coffee plantations dating back to the 19th century. You can discover the story right where it happened. You can plunge the lovely natural swimming pools with crystal clear running waters on the banks of the San Juan River.
Climbing El Taburete

Ascent by a forest road in the El Taburete hill until reaching 452 meters of altitude, highest point of the route. From the top you can see the southern plain of Artemisa and the Gulf of Batabanó and on the opposite side the San Juan Valley where the Community Las Terrazas is located. Descend on a narrow trail until you reach the San Juan Baths, place to have lunch. Free time to swim in natural swimming pools.
