Sun and Beach
Excellent beaches with warm and peaceful waters are the main attraction of the province. They are surrounded by elevations up to 100 meters height that give the place an incomparable sense of privacy.
One important attraction in the province is Jibacoa Tourist Region, located in the Santa Cruz Municipality, in the North Coast of the province. The territory extends from the El Fraile to the Bacunayagua cove halfway between Havana and Varadero. This tourist region occupies a territory of about 16.7 km ² and covers approximately 9.5 km of coastline with 5 beaches of different characteristics. The length of beaches varies from 200 to 700 meters. Crystal-clear waters and beautiful seabeds, with banks, coral reefs and wrecks are ideal for the practice of diving. There are some fish species for sport fishing.
Este polo turístico ocupa alrededor de 16.7 km² y abarca unos 9.5 km de línea costera con 5 playas de diferentes características de una longitud que varía entre 200 y 700 metros. La transparencia de las aguas y belleza de los fondos marinos, principalmente los asociados a bancos, arrecifes coralinos y pecios favorecen el desarrollo del buceo. Existen algunas especies de peces de interés para la pesca deportiva.
