The majestic Palace of Government rises majestically and is the city’s most significant eclectic-style building in the historic center.

This institution is built up on the ruins of what once was the Natal House of the local hero. Inaugurated in November 14, 1987. The current building was built in 1919 and dedicated to local commerce until the 1980's when it was determined to rescue it to perpetuate the memory of the Tunero.
It transcends not only for being the house where two children of the General Mambí died during the War of 1868, but also for the outstanding action of its workers in the promotion of history, highlighting the remembrance of the Fire of the City on September 26 of 1876, the symbolic wedding of Vicente Garcia and Brígida Zaldívar on August 22nd and the main acts of decorations that are celebrated in the Province.
The main hall shows the archaeological footprint of the original floor of 1800 and other elements of the plastic that make up a set of great solemnity. The polyvalent hall, ideal for developing concerts, conferences and conversations, the yard of the house and the exhibition rooms preserve the colonial architecture.

In the main artery of the bicentennial city of Las Tunas stands a unique site well known by its inhabitants, a must visit for foreigners and pride of Cubans: Plaza Martiana de Las Tunas.
The result of a profound historical, astronomical and architectural study stands solemn and majestic to pay homage to José Martí through reflections of light and shadow that show commemorative dates in the life of the Master. It is a work of monumental commemorative architecture.
Among its most distinctive elements stands the face of José Martí, cast in bronze by the prestigious artist Rita Longa and located in one of the paraboloids that make up the monument. It is illuminated every May 19 at 2:30 pm normal time, date and time that the apostle fell in Dos Rios.
Its solar clock is of horizontal type and its position is in the 76 ° and 57 minutes of the Meridian of Greenwich. Major General Vicente García Revolution Square

Conceived with the idea of performing political acts of great concentration, its construction was adapted to the topography of the land. It has a congregation area, gallery, sculptural ensemble and the socio-administrative building.
It has a history room, where are located, on marble bases, the sculptural busts of 8 local generals of the Independence Wars, made by local artists.
This Plaza also presents a sculptural set that represents the most important historical events of the province and the country and the figure of Vicente García with the machete in hand.

Vicente Garcia Park.

Located in the historic center of Las Tunas, inaugurated on October 10, 1915 with the placement of the statue of the Major General. Over time it became the center of the city and the usual place for Sunday retreats.
It retained its original square shape, but when it was built the central highway in 1930, a corner was mutilated so that the road continued. In that excluded part was placed the first bust of Jose Marti in January 28, 1942.
Antonio Maceo Park.
Address: It occupies the block that the streets Antonio Maceo, Lucas Ortiz and Adolfo Villamar, Las Tunas, Cuba.
It is located where the Plaza del Mercado used to be and then where the Plaza Cristina was. The first monument made in Cuba in remembrance of the war victims was located in this spot. In the 30's of the past century the Maceo Park was founded, whose banks were donated by personalities and entities of the City, as can be seen in the back of them. The environment of this central park is tempered by buildings from the beginning of the century, including the headquarters of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, the Palace of Marriages, a pharmacy and an emblematic tobacco factory.

The Salcedo Castle, now La Loma Fort (National Monument), was built by the Spanish as a defensive system. Today, it is a museum and in its towers are exposed many objects found in excavations in this place, in addition to weapons and documents of the time. This historical site is located on the highest point of a hill, and marks the entrance to Puerto Padre City.
