Ecological Reserves in Las Tunas
Las Tunas has one ecological reserve and three fauna refuges. Among the refuges is the Monte Cabaniguan – Ojo de Agua, a place that protects endemic or endangered birds like the Green Carpenter, the Cuban Parakeet and the Common Kestrel. In the Fauna Refuge of the Malagueta Bay one can admire wonderful black coral reefs and marine species of great beauty. Another refuge is the Cayo Rabihorcado, called like this because you can appreciate the birds of the same name.
